Digital Art Weeks Singapore
Three of my works are being shown in the "WINDOW ZOOS AND VIEWS" augmented reality public art exhibit as part of DAW Singapore.
TO VIEW ARTWORKS IN SINGAPORE:
Go to the WINDOW ZOOS AND VIEWS website for instructions and to download the "Tour Guide." My works will remain in place after the event is over.
“You call this ART???” In this animated, self-referential augmented reality artwork, critics’ faces range from skeptical to outraged. After its premiere at MoMA NY it has been propagating to fine art museums worldwide, such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, ICA Boston, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Hayward Gallery London, LA MoCA ...
The augmented reality artwork “Clouding Green” floats a massive augmented reality cloud – in colors ranging from sooty carbon black to brilliant renewable green, depending on their clean energy index – over 8 major Silicon Valley cloud computing providers cited in the Greenpeace report “How Clean is Your Cloud.”
For DAW Singapore I created a composite of several of the clouds, and floated it above the ARtScience Museum. On an iPad as you look at each cloud a pop-up label tells you which company generated which cloud, and what percent of their energy comes from renewable sources.
Flying Windmills was developed for the exhibit "Transformation: Lehel," produced by pilotraum01 e.V. as part of "overtures ZeitRäume," curators Serafine Lindemann (artcircolo) and Christian Schoen (kunst | konzepte).
