Upgrade! Munich in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Lothringer13/Spiegel stellen eine Kompilation kurzer Kunstvideos von Münchner KünstlerInnen zusammen.

Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Mattias von Tesmar, Direktor des Lothringer13/Spiegels, dem Kuratoren-Team beigetreten ist! Der Lothringer13/Spiegel wird die DVD hier in München präsentieren und in seinem Archiv und Videothek aufnehmen.

Die DVD wird im Rahmen eines Projekts des Upgrade! International Netzwerkes konzipiert. Seit einiger Zeit kursieren weltweit interessante Videokunstproduktionen von Mitgliedern des Upgrade! International Netzwerkes. Anläßlich des Projektes A-DAY-IN-A-LIFE wurden von Juli
bis September 2008 die Produktionen von Upgrade! Vancouver und Upgrade! Scotland im ZKMax, und in Oktober in dem Lothringer13/Laden, gezeigt.

Upgrade! Munich will mit dem Einspeisen einer kuratierten Auswahl von Videoarbeiten Münchner KünstlerInnen zum Thema "Gleichgewichtsstörung" in den weltweiten Vertriebskanal von Upgrade! International an dieser sehr erfolgreichen gemeinsamen Aktion des Netzwerkes beteiligen. Teilnehmende KünstlerInnen bekommen selbstverständlich eine Kopie der DVD umsonst.

- Maximale Cliplänge: 5 Minuten
- Format: MPEG2 oder MiniDV-Kassette in bestmöglicher Qualität

Call for projects for a

Video art compilation
by Munich artists

 

Upgrade! Munich in cooperation with the Lothringer13/Spiegel is creating a video DVD with a compilation of short art videos made by Munich artists.

We are delighted to be able to announce that the director of the Lothringer13/Spiegel, Mattias von Tesmar, has joined the curatorial team. We will present the DVD here in Munich at the Lothringer13/Spiegel, and the DVD will become part of its archive and videothek.

The DVD is part of a project conceived by the Upgrade! International network to exchange and exhibit video art compilations between different nodes of the network. From July-September 2008, works from Upgrade! Scotland and Upgrade! Vancouver were shown in Munich in the ZKMax as part of the A DAY IN A LIFE project. In October 2008, Upgrade! Munich held a further screening of the DVD from Upgrade! Vancouver in the Lothringer13/Laden.

In order to participate in this successful international project, Upgrade! Munich calls on Munich artists to submit short videoworks on the theme "Disequilibrium" (see details below). Participating artists will receive a free copy of the DVD.
