Uhr: Boris Petrovski stellt seine Arbeiten vor
Themen seiner Videoinstallationen und konzeptionellen Projekte sind die Schattenseiten,
die die moderne Gesellschaft mit sich bringt, wie beispielsweise Globalisierung,
Krieg und der verantwortungslose Umgang mit unserer Natur und den Tieren.
Bio:
Boris Petrovski wurde 1975 in Skopje, Mazedonien, geboren. An der dortigen
Akademie der
Schönen Künste erwarb er 1998 seinen Abschluss in Skulptur und
Grafikdesign.
Seitdem lebt und arbeitet er als freischaffender Künstler in Skopje.
Schwerpunktmäßig
beschäftigt er sich mit der Organisation von Ausstellungen bzw.
ist
als
Künstler auch selbst
Teilnehmer. Darüber hinaus ist er auch gestaltend als
Party-Dekorateur tätig.
2007 wurde er im Rahmen von "Denes" - einem Preis, der
jährlich
vom Zentrum für
zeitgenössische Kunst in Skopje vergeben wird - zu einem
sechswöchigen
Aufenthalt nach New York eingeladen

20.30 - 21.30 Uhr: A Day in A Life (DIAL) Live-Schaltung nach Skopje
Eine live DIAL Streaming-Event zwischen dem ZKMAx in München und dem Upgrade! International Chain Reactions Festival in Skopje stellt das Festival und seine beteiligten Künstler vor.
Das Festival präsentiert 20 KünstlerInnen und KünstlerInnenkollektive aus der ganzen Welt. Die Medien, mit denen sie arbeiten überbrücken kulturelle Grenzen und repräsentieren einen Komplex aus Wissen, Fähigkeiten, Hochtechnologie, sozialem Aktivismus, Raumintervention, politischen Haltungen und Zusammenarbeit.

The themes of his video installations and conceptual projects are the dark sides of
modern
society, such as globalization, war and irresponsible treatment of animals and nature.
Bio:
Boris Petrovski was born in 1975 in Skopje, Macedonia. In 1998 he graduated from the
Skopje Academie of Fine Arts with a degree in sculpture and graphic design.
He lives and works as a free-lance artist in Skopje.
.
Petrovski is active as an exhibition organizer, as an exhibiting artist,
and as a decorator
for trance parties. In
2007 he won the Denes prize - awarded yearly by the
Center
for Contemporary Art in Skopje - which invited him to New York City for a 6-week stay.

A live DIAL streaming event between the ZKMAx in Munich and the Upgrade! International Chain Reactions Festival in Skopje introduces the festival and its participating artists.
The Festival presents 20 artists and artist collectives from around the world. They bridge cultural borders with a complex mixture of knowledge, skills, high technology, social activism, interventions in public spaces, political stances and cooperation. Further information: Chain Reactions
