Conducting Progressive Time Trials On Pedal-Powered Watercraft 

REQUIRED:

  • Water course at least 100 ft. long and 6 ft. deep. [1]
  • Calm water, no current: windless weather (preferably)
  • Watch with second hand
  • Note pad, hand calculator, graph paper, clip board

PREPARATION:

Set (or note) range marks on shore, for ends of measured course. Measure distance accurately: [2]

  • condition of boat; list of equipment aboard
  • weight of each person aboard
